The First Step
Why I started this blog?
The first step was when I started thinking about making a blog in the middle of 2020. The year 2020 is a very trying year, which piled on events that shook the world. There were volcanoes erupting, icons dying and then, the Covid-19 pandemic landed a blow so hard, it changed how we lived and created what we call “the new normal”.
The new normal meant more time at home, as “the old normal” was pushed aside by lockdowns and community quarantines.
Like the rest of us, this translated to me idling more on the web and social media, looking for news about what’s happening around the world while being forced to limit physical interactions even with our families and next door neighbors.
And then came the bitter realization, that these feeds were not helping me much, or at all. Most of the times, they drain my energy. They were full of toxic rants and negative news. And in hard times, all I wanted to read was something positive, something happy.
Where are the happy posts and uplifting news??? I’m sure that negativity is not the only thing existing in the world and I wanted my social media feeds to reflect just that.

The Change
The change started with me actively choosing which social media accounts and news websites to follow. Fake news needed to go. One-sided news coverage needed to go. People cancelling people needed to go.
And with the toxic out, a far happier digital space occurred.
And I believe everybody wants just that.
Why I Started This Blog?
I found joy reading happy posts and uplifting articles, and I wanted to share that to everyone. Happiness is a thing that you can share without losing what you have. It’s the one thing I hope would be viral.
Creating a blog that finds and share happiness in the web was the next step, and here we are…

[…] Personally, I find that watching too much news triggers all sorts of negative emotions, including sadness and sometimes, rage. I watch news only at night to avoid all the gloominess from taking over a great chunk of my day. And doing this “news diet” really helped my mental state. I also did a social media cleanse, and that helped a lot too. […]
